Prison Yoga Project founder and director James Fox presents Yoga: A Path for Healing and Recovery as a resource meant to support the personal growth, self-healing, and yoga practice of incarcerated citizens. Since its first publication in 2010, some 23,000 copies have been shipped free of charge to incarcerated people in nearly every state in the US, and abroad.
Offering a methodology developed by James Fox after nearly two decades of teaching yoga in San Quentin Prison in California, Yoga: A Path for Healing and Recovery has been lauded by yoga teachers and practitioners worldwide for its clear, concise, and effective introduction to pranayama, asana, and mindfulness techniques as a means for healing the traumas and addictions that lead to incarceration.
